Myanmar protests: Demonstrators appear to train with ethnic armed group as others march the streets

Global News published this video item, entitled “Myanmar protests: Demonstrators appear to train with ethnic armed group as others march the streets” – below is their description.

Video was released this week by a group calling themselves the new fighting force against Myanmar’s military junta, with footage showing more than 100 youth jogging through a clearing earlier this month as they appeared to train with ethnic armies on Myanmar’s borderlands.

Reuters reports they could not independently verify the details of the make-up of the recently formed group.

Also on Tuesday, video purported to show fires burning and shots heard as insurgents from the ethnic minority Karen reportedly attacked a Myanmar military outpost.

In Yangon, protesters took to the streets chanting slogans and holding signs in opposition to the military junta.
