    In the morning of February 1, the Myanmar military detained State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, President U Win Myint and other senior officials and political figures. The military said General Min Aung Hlaing will take power, and new elections will be held after the end of a one-year state of emergency. China Media Group Reporter Gao Jiayi, in an interview with CGTN, talked about the current situation in Yangon City, also he discussed his thoughts on what is behind today’s event.
