South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Myanmar junta troops allegedly torch several villages during 3-day raid” – below is their description.
As Myanmar’s military struggles to defeat resistance to its rule, junta troops allegedly torched hundreds of buildings during a three-day raid in the week of May 26, 2022. Residents and local media reports said troops burned buildings in the villages of Kinn, Upper Kinn and Ke Taung. Myanmar’s northern Sagaing region has seen fierce fighting since the junta seized power in a coup in 2021, with local “People’s Defence Force” (PDF) members clashing regularly with junta troops.
