ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Myanmar defends executions as ‘justice for the people’ as condemnation grows | The World” – below is their description.
The families of four political prisoners who were executed in Myanmar say they’re still trying to get their bodies home. There’s growing international outrage over the men’s deaths, with Malaysia accusing Myanmar of committing crimes against humanity, adding the junta should not be allowed to attend ministerial level meetings in the region. As Sarah Jane Bell reports, masked protesters have risked arrest in Yangon, but their fight for justice has been backed up by larger demonstrations in neighbouring Thailand.
