The leader of an aid group assisting civilians fleeing the Myanmar military’s offensive in Karenni state has recounted the devastating ordeal of losing a teammate amid heavy strafing last month.
Free Burma Rangers’ (FBR) Ree Doh, 25, was killed as the group tried to rescue residents coming under fire in the areas surrounding Thar Yat village.
Dave Eubank, leader of the FDR, recalls to The Telegraph how jet fighters swooped at least 15 times on gun runs, firing rockets at members of his team and civilians elsewhere.
