Muslims in Canberra gathered at mosques to mark the end of Ramadan.

Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important holidays on the Islamic calendar, but for the second year running celebrations will be scaled down due to the pandemic.

The cancelling of the Eid feast – normally attended by thousands – has been especially hard for international students, some of whom haven’t seen family in almost two years.
