We’ve all probably become exasperated by video call glitches at some point during the coronavirus lockdown, but our reactions usually don’t go on the public record, as was the case for Heather Wheeler, a UK MP, on May 11.
Wheeler, the MP for South Derbyshire, was addressing parliament via video call when she became flustered, and could be heard exclaiming, “Oh f***ing hell.” She was subsequently told by Speaker Lindsay Hoyle to “please carry on.”
The UK began virtual parliamentary proceedings on April 22.
