ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Mouse population booms across Canberra region, with baits and traps in short supply | ABC News” – below is their description.
As swarms of mice continue to wreak havoc on farmers across the central-west of New South Wales, there are fears the Canberra region could be teetering on the edge of its own mouse plague.
From the far north to the deep south, rodent numbers are up and Canberrans are struggling to get their hands on traps and bait, including expert exterminators.
Dan and Jenny Geldart have lived in Murrumbateman for 25 years and have never seen so many mice around their home as in recent weeks.
