Drone footage taken on June 14 shows a mother elephant using her body to shade her sleeping baby and swinging a twig with her trunk to repel mosquitoes in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. The wandering elephant herd has caught global attention after they trekked about 500 kilometers from their original habitat in the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture to Kunming, the provincial capital, with a population of 8 million, earlier this month. #WanderingElephant
