More than 6 million workers being paid by the taxpayer under government’s furlough scheme

Figures out today show that roughly twice as many workers are being paid by the taxpayer under the government’s furlough scheme than was first predicted. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

The bleak news came as the government came under fire from unions for its draft guidance on how people can safely return to work.
