Queensland’s aged care crisis is deepening. It’s been revealed more than 40 residents died with COVID in July – half of them in the last week. The latest Omicron wave is expected to reach its peak at the end of this month. The state government has so far declined to bring back restrictions and mask mandates, but the federal government has extended its free rapid test program until October. Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk joins Sunrise live.
