More than 20 Australian sailors on a military aid vessel on its way to Tonga have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Pacific Island nation has not reported any infections so far but the government is worried about the flow of aid also bringing an outbreak.

Tonga is dealing with the aftermath of a devastating volcanic eruption and tsunami more than a week ago.
