    The months-long Covid-19 lockdown in India has devastated the country’s economy and millions of Indians have lost their livelihoods. As a result, more children are forced to take up jobs to help support their families. More than 10 million Indian children between five and 14 are now working in farms and factories, or cleaning restaurant tables and shining shoes – and the situation has been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.
