Monkey selfies: Mischievous macaque steals Malaysian man’s phone

Global News published this video item, entitled “Monkey selfies: Mischievous macaque steals Malaysian man’s phone” – below is their description.

A mischievous long-tailed macaque monkey stole a man’s phone and captured numerous selfies and videos in Johor, Malaysia, on September 12. The video features footage of the inside of the monkey’s mouth as it bites into the phone and some upside-down “selfie” footage as the macaque stares at the device. Muhammad Zackrydz bin Mohd Rodzi went to sleep and when he woke up he realized his phone was missing. “There’s no sign of robbery or something because everything is fine and my family has seen nothing, the only thing in my mind was maybe it’s some kind of sorcery or something,” Rodzi told Storyful. After a couple days he searched his backyard and found it near the jungle his home abuts. He said the screen protector was peeled and his phone was muddy, but overall it was fine.
