A boat appeared to ram into another during the French blockade off the coast of Jersey.

French fishermen – angered by Jersey’s decision to place new restrictions on fishing licences permitting access to its waters – have threatened to bring the island “to its knees”.

Boris Johnson has said that two Royal Navy vessels will remain stationed off Jersey until the French blockade is resolved.
