Minute’s silence held for key workers who have died during the coronavirus outbreak

A minute’s silence has been held around the UK to honour key workers who have died during the coronavirus outbreak.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock confirmed that 82 NHS workers and 16 social care staff have died after testing positive for coronavirus.

Many transport workers and other frontline staff have also lost their lives to the virus.
