Minister admits early testing could have prevented UK deaths – as trials of new tracing app to begin

Trials of the new NHS track and tracing app are set to begin this week on the Isle of Wight – but there are still questions over how fast and how far it can be rolled out nationwide. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

Ministers say at least 50 to 60 percent of the population would need to use the app, for it to be effective – and thousands of contact tracers will need to be employed to back it up.
