Migrants hosted at the Moria camp on Lesbos island staged a protest on Monday decrying tough living conditions in the refugee center.
Local media reported clashes with security forces during the protests.
Since the escalation of tensions in Syria, the Europe’s largest refugee centre exceeded almost seven times its maximum capacity of 3,100 people, as it tries to accomodate 20,000 asylum seekers.
Since Sunday morning at least 1,000 refugees and migrants have reached the Eastern Aegean islands, according to local police.
