Global News published this video item, entitled “Migrants clash with Moroccan riot police after expulsion from Spain’s Ceuta” – below is their description.
Moroccan riot police clashed with hundreds of migrants in the border town of Fnideq on Wednesday after thousands had been expelled from Spain’s Ceuta, an enclave that has periodically been a magnet for refugees seeking a quick way into Europe.
People were reportedly seen lighting a motorbike and rubbish bin on fire and throwing stones.
Earlier in the day, thousands of migrants had forced their way past tightened security in Ceuta, even as Spain pressed on with expelling those who swam or climbed into its North African enclave.

In This Story: Ceuta
It was part of the province of Cádiz until 14 March 1995. On that date, Statutes of Autonomy were passed for both Ceuta and Melilla.
Ceuta, like Melilla and the Canary Islands, was classified as a free port before Spain joined the European Union. Its population consists of Christians, Muslims, and small minorities of Sephardic Jews and ethnic Sindhis from modern-day Pakistan.
Spanish is the official language. Darija Arabic is also spoken by 40–50% of the population.
