Paula Saucedo, Protection and Defense Program Officer at Article 19, addresses the latest wave of journalist killings in #Tijuana, #Mexico. “Article 19, and other organizations like RSF (Reporters without Borders), and CPJ (Committee to Protect Journalists), all agree that these crimes are related to the work that these journalists were doing.” The CPJ reports that “more than 95% of the murders and disappearances of #journalists in Mexico never make it to trial.” Demonstrations against the killings were scheduled across Mexico for Tuesday.
