Matt Hancock launches contact tracing app pilot on Isle of Wight to ‘get country back on its feet’

Announcing the pilot during today’s Downing Street press conference, Matt Hancock said participation would help the whole country “get back on its feet”.

But the Health Secretary stressed this was not an alternative to social distancing, saying the “stay home” message now had an additional plea to download the app.
