Health secretary Matt Hancock has announced that from tomorrow, 7 June, people aged between 25 and 29 in England will be able to book a coronavirus vaccine.
In a statement to the Commons, the health secretary also said that it is still ‘too early’ to make a decision on step four of the lockdown easing plan, initially slated for 21 June. He said the government would assess the data this week and announce a decision in seven days time.
Hancock also said he has asked the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, the committee that advices government on immunisations, to come forward with clinical advice on 12-17-year-olds was considering whether to recommend vaccinating teenagers.
