Matt Hancock has expanded the list of frontline workers who can request a coronavirus test, as capacity now exceeds demand.
The Health Secretary told MPs that as of today police officers, fire fighters, prison staff, “critical” local authority staff, members of the judiciary and DWP staff will qualify if they need tests.
Previously it had been just for patients, NHS and social care staff and some local resilience forum (LRF) workers.
