South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Mask up and enjoy the show! Opera performances go on in Bulgaria despite the Covid-19 pandemic” – below is their description.
Bulgaria has kept some of its opera houses open despite the coronavirus pandemic, by imposing strict measures to try and prevent the spread of Covid-19. At the Sofia Opera and Ballet in the nation’s capital, people have been only permitted to view performances from the balconies. Bulgaria first eased pandemic restrictions in June 2020, allowing leisure venues including opera houses, concert halls and cinemas to operate at up to 30 per cent capacity.
