The Telegraph’s Chief Sports Writer Oliver Brown explains how Marcus Rashford’s free school meals campaign has been unlike anything he’s seen a footballer do.

The Manchester United was awarded an MBE after his campaigning efforts to provide underprivileged children with the free school meals they would be receiving if they were not forced to stay at home due to to the pandemic.

During the summer, he was credited with causing a government U-turn to pay for those free meals, and has now renewed pressure on the government to extend that financial support through the Christmas period.
