A March for Our Lives rally will be held in Washington, D.C., and across the U.S. on Saturday to protest against gun violence.
The youth-led movement against gun violence formed after the Parkland school shooting and will be staging a new protest in response to the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting.
Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey used an appearance at the White House Tuesday to call on Congress to “reach a higher ground” and pass gun control legislation in honour of the children and teachers killed in last month’s shooting rampage in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas.
In a highly personal 22-minute speech, McConaughey exhorted a gridlocked Congress to pass gun reforms that he said can save lives without infringing on Second Amendment rights.
