A Canberra man who was commuting home from work has died after his car was hit head-on by another car, which police say appeared to be travelling on the wrong side of the road.
Detective Acting Inspector Paul Hutcheson ACT Road Policing said late last night police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Hindmarsh Drive.
A female was extracted from the other vehicle and was also taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She remains in a critical condition.
Detective Acting Inspector Hutcheson called on anyone with information about the crash or who may have witnessed anything of interest to contact police.
