The body of nine-year-old Charlise Mutten has been found in the vicinity of the Colo River, around an hour from the NSW Blue Mountains.

Police last night conducted a search of the area, as they investigated the disappearance of the girl, who went missing from the Blue Mountains last Thursday.

A Sydney man has been charged with killing the schoolgirl, and dumping her body.
