#Mali’s transitional #government has restored Colonel Sadio Camara as defense minister, after he was removed from office last month in a government reshuffle. Military officers detained President Bah Ndaw and Prime Minister Moctar Ouane on May 24 and announced a new government that excluded Camara and another colonel.

Colonel Assimi Goita – who had led the coup – was named transitional president on June 9.
