Mali’s military says the president and prime minister, detained since this week’s coup, have been released from detention after agreeing to resign.
But neither has been seen yet.
Colonel Assimi Goita – one of the military officers who led last year’s coup – arrested the transitional leaders on Monday, accusing them of violating government agreements.
