The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Major conflict in Ukraine ‘only a small miscalculation away’ | Analysis” – below is their description.
The situation in Ukraine is “only one small miscalculation away from a large conflagration” as it faces Russian forces on three sides.
That is according to Dominic Nicholls, The Telegraph’s Defence and Security Editor, who says Vladimir Putin has “given himself very little room for a diplomatic climbdown”.
“He’s painted himself into a corner, possibly because he wants to be in that corner [so he can] then claim that it’s Nato’s fault for anything that may or may not happen in the next few weeks,” he explains in the video.
Mr Putin sees the conflict “as a chance to reassert his authority,” he adds.
