Macron win leaves French politics in crisis

Now that France has chosen a new president, there is another political battle looming – a vote for a new parliament next month.

Emmanuel Macron’s victory has left what were the two main parties in total crisis.

One of the leading Socialist leaders says the party is now dead.

His colleagues don’t have long to decide whether they want to join him alongside Macron, or fight against the new president.
