Macau began vaccinating priority groups against Covid-19 on February 9, 2021. The city received 100,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from Beijing on February 6. Despite a lack of Phase 3 clinical data from Sinopharm about its jabs, Macau has still approved the free and voluntary vaccination plan for its roughly 680,000 residents.
