The widow of a man, killed after a lorry hit his car on a Smart Motorway, says the wrong man has been jailed. Jason Mercer and Alexandru Murgeanu died after stopping their vehicles on a stretch of the M1 without a hard shoulder. The driver of the truck which hit them was jailed for 10 months today. But Claire Mercer says the design of the roads is flawed and responsible for their deaths.
