Carriages and stations appeared crowded in footage shared on social media the morning after the government announced people should stay at home except for essential travel to combat the spread of coronavirus.
Transport for London has been criticised for reducing the number of trains and closing stations as thousands, including NHS staff, still rely on the underground to get to work.
