ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Lockdown extended for Brisbane and Moreton Bay but lifted tonight for other parts of Qld | ABC News” – below is their description.
Lockdown will end tonight for parts of Queensland, but is extended for 24 hours for Brisbane and Moreton Bay after four more cases of community transmission, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says.
They include a mother and daughter from Carindale, in Brisbane’s south-east, and a woman who worked at the Brisbane International Airport.
Authorities believe the latter caught the virus from her partner, who is a luggage handler, but they are still trying to determine where the mother and her daughter may have picked up the infection.
The fourth case, announced late on Friday afternoon, involved a man in his 50s who had been out in the Sunshine Coast community and became symptomatic on Wednesday.
Queensland Health was investigating any link to existing cases and identifying the strain.
