CGTN published this video item, entitled “Live: What do you know about Kargilik County – ‘Capital of Walnut’?” – below is their description.
The geological location and favorable weather have bestowed Kargilik County, or Yecheng County, in NW China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with high yields of farm produce, such as apricots, pomegranates, yellow pears and walnuts. Sitting in the north of the Taklamakan Desert and south of the Kunlun Mountains, Kargilik is known as the “Capital of Walnut” in China for its bumper nut harvests. Follow CGTN reporters on a visit to a walnut plantation and factory and a walnut tree that’s some 6,000 years old. #amazingxinjiang
