CGTN published this video item, entitled “Live: What do we learn from China’s latest lunar sample?” – below is their description.
In December 2020, China’s Chang’e-5 lunar probe returned with 2 kilograms of lunar soil and rock samples, marking the first time in over 40 years that samples were collected and retrieved from the moon’s surface. Recently, Nature magazine published three articles from Chinese scientists who have been studying the samples for months. The samples have revealed some previously unknown history of the satellite, including much longer volcanism than scientists previously believed. The revelation has also raised new questions about the moon’s past. CGTN’s Tech It Out Studio invites several experts in the field to help you better understand the historic significance of this revelation. #Chang’e-5
