Western Australia is putting tougher travel rules with Victoria in place from midnight, introducing a hard border with the state.

The new rules mean no one who has been in Victoria within the previous 14 days will be allowed to enter Western Australia without an exemption.

It means, from midnight, WA will have hard borders in place with Australia’s three most populous states.

West Australians currently in Victoria are being urged to “return without delay”.
