The first Global Geographical Indications Products Expo is underway in Luzhou, southwest of China’s Sichuan Province, displaying products that are certified for their place of origin.

With the theme “Strengthening the protection of geographical indications (GI) and promoting the high-quality industrial development,” the expo aims at boosting the trade of GI products, technical exchange, cultural interaction and investment promotion.

Nearly 1,000 GI products from more than 20 countries and regions are taking part in the event.
