CGTN published this video item, entitled “Live: Tour China’s new UNESCO World Heritage landmarks in Quanzhou” – below is their description.
China’s “Quanzhou: Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China” was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List by the World Heritage Committee during its 44th session on July 25, bringing the country’s total number of heritage sites to 56. The session is being held in southeast China’s Fuzhou, capital of Fujian Province, and online from July 16 to 31.
Quanzhou, a coastal city in east China’s Fujian Province, was a global maritime trade center back in the Song (960-1279) and Yuan (1271-1368) dynasties. CGTN invites you to tour around this new world heritage site to explore Quanzhou’s past history and glory.
