  • CGTN published this video item, entitled “Live: Let’s go! Camping in an oasis near the Tengger Desert 乌玛高速——后疫情时代旅游新体验” – below is their description.

Bordered the Tengger Desert in the north and the Yellow River in the south, Zhongwei City in northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is one of the major stops along the Wuma Expressway. Once noted for using straw “checkerboards” to stop desert encroachment decades ago, the city has become a popular tourist site with several oases.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has stopped people from traveling, excursions around cities have become a new option for many. Join CGTN reporter Liu Hui and New Zealand vlogger Andy Boreham to experience camping in an oasis on the edge of Zhongwei City and learn tips about how to make your journey safe and enjoyable. #ChinaByRoad
