CGTN published this video item, entitled “Live: Explore China via inscriptions at National Museum of China” – below is their description.
Don’t miss the chance to explore with the curator of the National Museum of China. From this virtual tour, you can take a look at the essence of ancient Chinese characters and learn about their features and development. You also get to pore over 3,000 unidentified ancient oracle bone inscriptions and li calligraphy, an ancient style of calligraphy in the Han Dynasty (202 BC-AD 8). You can also learn about the development of inscriptions on different media, including bronzes, bamboo or wooden slips. The museum has initiated an online campaign, teaming up with dozens of museums at home and abroad to show their collections.
