Anti-light rail protesters have been warned that in-person consultations over expansion may be shut down if verbal assaults against staff continue.
Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate says staff are working hard to find the best solution, and don’t deserve to be abused for doing their jobs.
“They’re there to help you, not to be abused by you, and if anything, those actions of being abusive really harden the public’s opinion about anti-light rail people.”
