China is ready to expand economic and security cooperation with Mekong countries, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang announced at the 7th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit on September 9. The Greater Mekong Subregion covers the Lancang-Mekong River basin, bringing China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam together.
