Tuesday was #China’s traditional #Lantern #Festival. Falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month, it marked the end of the Spring Festival celebrations. It’s a carnival of lanterns, with a history of more than 2,000 years. Lanterns were lit up for good luck, along with hope for peace. For Chinese students overseas, far from home, the holidays can be a lonely time, especially under the COVID-19 pandemic. For most, going back home is not an option, so Chinese New Year is more than just a celebration, it’s about finding connections to home, no matter where they are.
