7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Labor claims says their press conference ‘prompted’ NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s return | 7NEWS” – below is their description.
“It seems as though the calling of this media conference has prompted the Premier of New South Wales to go back to the 11 o’clock press conference, which is exactly what I was going to ask her to do,” says Opposition Leader Chris Minns. “So that’s good news.”
“I’m glad that the NSW Government is holding their daily press conference at least today. It needs to continue, it’s crucial as we get to the peak of this pandemic.”
However, at her media conference, Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she was “always scheduled to do today because of the key milestones we announced” with the easing of restrictions, and says “nothing has changed from my comments from last week”.
“I’m on the job 24/7. In addition to managing the pandemic, we manage the state moving forward and I’m always available, but I won’t necessarily be here every day at 11am. Some weeks I might be here every day, other weeks I might be here intermittently, but the important thing to note is that your government is not only on the job 24/7, but we’re also making sure we provide timely information when we need to and the way we need to do that, and I think the public understands that.”
Today, New South Wales recorded 1,257 new cases of community transmission, and another seven virus-related deaths. Read more: http://7news.link/3lmwmor
