Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, is to follow Boris Yeltsin, Lenin and even Santa Claus as he is to have a mountain in the nation of Kyrgyzstan named after him.
The peak, which stands 4,446m (14,586ft) tall, in the Chuy province to the North of Kyrgyzstan, will be named after Mr Putin providing a draft law, already signed by Kyrgyz Prime Minister, Almazbek Atambayev, received parliamentary assent.
Other mountains in the nation named after famous people have included Russian leaders in the past: there is already a mountain named after Boris Yeltsin, as well as a mountain named in honour of the Bolshevik leader, Lenin.
There is even a mountain in the country named after Santa Claus.
Vladimir Putin already has a street named after him, in the Chechen capital of Grozny, but this is believed to be the first time a mountain has been named in his honour.
