China’s senior diplomat Yang Jiechi is in Busan, South Korea, for a two-day visit till Saturday. The trip comes amid the pandemic and stalled denuclearization talks. According to the ROK’s presidential office, the two sides “plan to exchange opinions on issues of mutual concerns such as coronavirus response cooperation, bilateral relations including high-level exchanges as well as the Korean Peninsula and international security situations.” Earlier in May, the two countries agreed on a “fast-track” entry system for travelers, while ensuring adequate epidemic prevention and control, to keep business and supply chains open.
