Kazakhstan convicts two men over Facebook posts

A court in Kazakhstan has sentenced two men for at least two year jail terms for what it called offenses to “national pride and honour.”

The men had posted on Facebook excerpts from an unpublished book by an anti-government activist.

The ruling has alarmed observers who say Kazakhstan continues to harass even its most minor critics.
